Time is one of the scarcest resources in schools. This webinar supports teachers and school leaders to manage their time more effectively so that they can focus on what matters most: teaching, learning and wellbeing. Situating time management within the Looking at Our School 2022 domains of Managing the organisation and Leading teaching and learning, the session explores how personal organisation, prioritisation and delegation can support a more sustainable and effective professional life.
Participants will be invited to reflect on their current workload and routines, consider organisational structures that influence time demands, and identify realistic strategies to improve balance and effectiveness.

Learning Objectives
By the end of this webinar, participants will be able to:

• Relate effective time management to the expectations of Looking at Our School 2022, particularly in the areas of leadership, management and classroom practice.
• Use simple tools for prioritising tasks, setting boundaries and planning their week.
• Recognise time-wasters and develop strategies to manage interruptions and competing demands.
• Consider how organisational systems (meetings, communication, documentation) can be adjusted to support more effective use of time.
• Identify one or two practical changes they can implement immediately to improve their own time management and work–life balance.

Professional Bio
Kieran Sweeney is an accredited post-primary based coach with experience as an AP1, Deputy Principal, Principal and previous Director of the Limerick Education Centre. He is a qualified and certified leadership coach and is a trained and approved competency-based interview chairperson with the JMB.
