25LC 09 017 SG (WT) - Sensory Support as Self-Care

25LC 09 017 SG (WT) - Sensory Support as Self-Care

What every adult needs to know about sensory needs in Autistic and Neurodivergent kids and teens.

This webinar explores how sensory differences shape daily experiences—and how we can create environments that soothe rather than overwhelm. We’ll share practical tools to support regulation, reduce distress, and empower young people to understand and advocate for their own sensory wellbeing. (sensory- emotional jug)

Facilitator BIO: Evaleen Whelton

Evaleen is the founder of AUsome Training, an Autistic-led organisation redefining how we support and include Autistic people. She develops courses, resources, and events grounded in lived experience and professional expertise. With over a decade of work in education, therapy, and advocacy, Evaleen challenges neuro-confirmative models and champions truly respectful, neuro-affirming practice. She believes we need to expand our idea of “normal” to truly include Autistic people. Through her writing, speaking, and training, she works to make the world a safer, more inclusive place for Autistic people of all ages.
